HOW WE'RE MADE FOR THIS MISSION

From the very beginning of our relationship, global missions has been a central passion for both of us. We met in Bible college and were married in 2005, united not just in love, but in a shared calling to see the gospel go to the nations.

We live in Greenville, South Carolina, with our five wonderful children, and are active members of Hampton Park Baptist Church. Rob grew up in Tampa, Florida, and Amy was raised in Cape Town, South Africa. Over the years, God has continually deepened our burden to see all people—especially Muslims—come to know Christ.

In the summer of 2021, we began serving with what was then Tampa Muslim Outreach, helping local churches in the Tampa Bay Area reach their Muslim neighbors. As the ministry transitioned into International Muslim Outreach, our vision also expanded. We spent several months overseas, seeking how we might serve the global Church—especially in Africa—as they engage the Muslim world.

Through that time of exploration and prayer, God made it clear: we were being called to relocate to Cape Town to lead the work of IMO in Africa. Our desire is to come alongside a ministry collective in the Western Cape that is actively planting churches and strengthening existing ones. We want to serve and support these churches as they reach out with the love and truth of the gospel—especially to Muslims.

Our heart remains the same as it was when we first met: to see Jesus known, worshiped, and loved in every nation.

HOW WE'LL SERVE IN THIS MISSION

Through International Muslim Outreach, we serve by helping the Church across Africa reach Muslims confidently and humbly. Our work is centered on equipping and encouraging believers to engage their Muslim neighbors with the love of Christ.

We lead in-person trainings throughout Africa, coming alongside local churches to build relationships, offer practical tools, and cast vision for Muslim outreach. We also provide online train-the-trainer courses via Zoom to help pastors and ministry leaders effectively use IMO’s curriculum in their own communities.

Our calling includes inspiring the church, befriending Muslims, supporting evangelism efforts, and walking with Muslim Background Believers as they grow in their faith and navigate life as followers of Jesus.

Rob also leads a global team of coordinators who support more than 500 Christians worldwide—encouraging them as they pray for and share Christ with Muslims in their local contexts.

As a family, we are eager to serve together by building Gospel-centered friendships with Muslims. We plan to open our home, participate in community activities, meet practical needs, and share life with those around us—so that through every conversation and connection, we might introduce our Savior, Jesus Christ.

We are confident in this: God will advance His Kingdom, and the gates of hell will not prevail against it. What’s even more incredible is that He chooses to use ordinary people—people like us, and people like you—to accomplish His purposes.

We're also spending time reading stories of Muslim-background believers and are reminded daily of the spiritual battle that surrounds this mission. Your prayers are powerful. When you pray, you are truly standing with us on the front lines.
